I’m a wife and a mom of four (and a dog that drives my bonkers), living in the Nashville area. I love Jesus and am so grateful for the transformations he has made in my life from my heart to my marriage to my motherhood. He is constantly astounding me with His mercy and grace. I write to witness to all He has done in my life and all I believe He can do in yours.
He wants us to lean on Him in all sorts of ways throughout our life; we only need to listen with open hearts and minds, ready to follow Him wherever He may lead us. I have learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to all the Lord can do through us.
I love attending daily Mass, saying my daily Rosary, and going to weekly Adoration. Please know I am always willing to take any prayer requests for Adoration. I am devoted to our Lady who has been instrumental in teaching me to go deeper with Jesus.
In my writing, I use lessons God gives me in moments of parenting, marriage, cooking, and more. I love finding our Extraordinary God in the ordinary events of my life. I have so much to learn from Him.
Our family is sports-loving, arts-loving, music-loving, game-playing, outside-walking kind of people. I’m originally from the East Coast and miss being close to an ocean and my extended family (they think I am totally crazy for moving away).
I live with hearing loss and have bilateral cochlear implants. If my hair is down, it’s an invisible disability until I have to ask you 10 times to repeat something. When my hair is up, it’s pretty hard to miss my cochlear implants. I used to blame my hearing for being slightly out of the loop, but I’ve gotten over that and just put it out there now….”I am hard of hearing, talk louder.” (Followed by self-deprecating laugh.)
Writing has been on my heart a long time, from writing poetry as a little girl to classes I’ve taken in college and post-college to being affirmed for my writing throughout my career. I feel like God keeps nudging me—when are you going to simply write? So, I’m finally writing for myself and putting pen to paper with my own message.
I hope my writing resonates with you who might be living with a desire for more and are hoping Jesus’ power transforms your life. I am still a work in progress and struggle with the worldly for better or worse, but I know He has created me for a unique purpose that I only I can fulfill. I don’t know about you, but I plan to try to make it happen, even as I trip and fall through my mistakes.
I hope you will join me in embracing a place of surrender, which will also be a place to accomplish great things. Know that you will never be alone in the search for God’s will, because I am on this journey with you.
On any given day, you will find me wrangling my kids out the door for school, squeezing in a workout, driving to some sort of game, practice or lesson, and just trying to make sure our family ship doesn’t sink. I occasionally find time to shop, eat at fun restaurants, and see live music. I also scrub toilets and do laundry in my free time -ha!
I welcome the opportunity to guest blog, collaborate in sharing posts, and networking with fellow writers, Catholics, moms, etc.!
I’m living my life one day at a time, leaning on His everlasting arms, and thankfully God doesn’t really ask any more of us than that!
